An additional requirement is submitting a Reference Letter, from a person who manages/supervises the nurses. Furthermore, this person has to be a nurse/midwife. There must be a date, name, contact details and position on the original letter. Moreover, The reference letter contains information about professional experience, Dates of employment, Area of expertise, day to day activities and a competence statement Outlining Continuing Professional Development to date

Finally, they have to submit verification or a certificate of Registration Letter, confirming the registration, fitness to practice and good standing issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Also, after undergoing skill assessment, they can apply for nursing registration directly to the NMBA/AHPRA and also submit the Expression of Interest. Overseas Nursing graduates must also complete the bridging course in Australia to obtain the registration from AHPRA. They also need to complete the course from an organization having approval to which they submit a referral letter from AHPRA to gain the admission. The candidates can proceed further in the skills assessment process after they complete the initial assessment process.
