SAP is divided in four categories as Technical, Technological, Functional and Techno-Functional.
SAP Basis is categorized as the Technological that supports the entire range of SAP applications.
BASIS consultants can also be classified as the System Administrators, who takes care of the Memory
Management, Database Communication SAP kernel runs directly on the underlying operating system,

SAP Basis also provides a layer of abstraction between the business applications and the operating
